We love kids! Do you love kids? We joyfully get to have fun with them on Sunday mornings, during the week, and on weekend activities. Serving in Bethel's Children's Ministry is a great opportunity to practice your "discipling" skills. You will GROW and you will be helping our children GROW.

If you walk down Noah’s Park , you will find our nursery, (birth-2years) the Ark Room, (2 as of Aug. 31st) the Rainbow Room, (3 as of Aug. 31st) and the Raindrop Room, (4 as of Aug. 31st) Noah’s Park provides a safe, loving, and nurturing environment with weekly Lead teachers, small group shepherds, monthly helpers, and great curriculum called, “First Look”. The older children memorize verses, worship, listen to Bible stories, do activities that reinforce the lesson, and just play and have fun. Contact Beth Olsen for more information.
Every child in K-3rd grade, is in a small group that meets every week with the same small group shepherd. The lesson is taught by large group presenters after worship leaders lead singing worship. The small groups do activities that reinforce the lesson taught that morning. Check out our curriculum at www.252basics.com in the preview section. It is new and exciting each week as the teaching time focuses on a virtue of the month. There is a “bottom line” phrase taught and reviewed each Sunday for the month. The kids memorize verses and say them at the “Memorization Station”. Contact Debi Teague for more information.
The 4th & 5th graders begin their morning with large group time in the Discovery Auditorium (in the new Children’s Wing) with a video program called “KidMo," a highly energetic and interactive program, lead by large group presenters. After Kidmo, they move into samll groups and discuss the book “True or False”by Josh McDowell, which teaches truths of Jesus Christ. Contact Pete Firth or Alyssa Thornton for more information.
Fun Flings
The 4th & 5th Graders are invited to come to monthly fun flings. These are activities designed especially for them to have fun, get to know each other better, and invite their unchurched and unconnected friends to a church activity. Some of the activities include: an overnight trip to the Portland Zoo, called ZooSnooze, bunco, overnight at the church, The Amazing Race, Rollerskating, and more. Contact Wade Koglin for more information.
This is an outreach team of kids and adults who minister to 3rd-5th graders at the Boys and Girls Club Teen Center during the Fall and Spring months. They share Bible stories, play games, have snacks, and sing together. The Go Team kids learn how to share Jesus and their lives with others during their small group time on the “off” weeks. Contact Teri Pearson for more information.
Baptism Class ~ two times a year we offer a baptism class designed especially for 2nd-5th graders. The class includes hands on activities, games, homework, and great discussion and teaching on the fundamentals of discipleship. The class is typically offered in October and May. Watch for notification in the bulletin or Crossroads Newsletter.
Our DiscoverZone Summer program runs from June 1 thru Sep 7. Please consider serving in our summer program for two Sundays over the course of the summer. This gives our ongoing servers time off. Please complete the summer volunteer application and return to the church office.
