Ministries
The short form of Bethel’s purpose statement is simply, “make disciples.” This is derived from the assignment Jesus gave his followers just before he ascended into Heaven (see Matthew 28:18-20). Now it is our assignment. The crazy thing about this is that he only provided two specific activities on how to make disciples, namely, through baptizing and teaching.
It is worth noting that Jesus did not provide a detailed ministry organizational chart. He gave the general instruction to baptize and teach, but he left the details of how we go about doing those things up to us. So, our ministries (listed to the right) are all designed to make disciples according to Jesus’ instruction.
