Become a Member
We are delighted that you are seeking information about becoming a member of Bethel Church's community of believers. As you come along side us, we will do our best to serve you, teach, share with you, love you, and allow you to serve no matter where you are in your spiritual journey. Membership at Bethel is a four-step process:

Step 1: Get involved in a GROW group. Participation in a GROW group will prepare you for membership commitment and give our body a chance to get to know you.

Step 2: Complete the Bethel Basic Training. The Bethel Basic Training booklet covers information about salvation, spiritual growth, doctrine, Bethel specifics, and membership at Bethel. Someone in your GROW group will be able to answer questions or provide assistance.

Step 3: Have your GROW group leader or designee review your booklet. This is a great time to review any questions you have with the material or to provide clarification. The leader (or designee) also needs to complete the membership recomendation on the last page of the booklet.

Step 4: Attend a membership orientation and interview. When you have completed the booklet and the GROW group is confident of your relationship with the Lord Jesus and commitment to Bethel, you may attend an orientation for prospective members. Church leadership holds these orientations approximately quarterly. The orientation is an opportunity to affirm our mutual vision and commitment and to discuss any unresolved issues or questions.
The small group interview with an Elder addresses issues such as personal testimony, baptism, previous church involvement, acceptance of church doctrinal beliefs, agreement with Church Covenant commitments, and identification of possible areas of service. It is intended to welcome you to Bethel and praise the Lord for what He has done in your life.
Note: Bring your completed booklet with the Recommendaion for Membership (from page 52 of the booklet) completed by your GROW group leader or designee. We invite your GROW group leader or designee to attend the interview with you, but it is not mandatory.
